Chapel District Elementary School Volunteers Recognized


    The Board of Education, Dr. Karen Salmon and Chapel District Elementary Principal Dr. Lisa Donmoyer presented Chapel volunteers with a round of applause and certificates for outstanding service to TCPS children.

    Mariam Miller
    Mariam has been a Chapel District volunteer for 9 years.  She is a retired Instructional Asst. for TCPS. Mariam has volunteered at Chapel four days a week in our second grade classrooms since her retirement. She also works in the RISE program two mornings a week. 


    Carolyn Verteramo
    Carolyn has been a volunteer at Chapel District for six years. She has two children attending Chapel, and she helps teachers in any way she can. Carolyn is always ready and willing to lend a hand! She is also is a RISE volunteer. Carolyn goes that extra mile for our students, teachers and staff.

    Karen Coward
    Karen has volunteered at Chapel for eight years.  When she started volunteering she had grandchildren attending Chapel. The grandchildren have moved on but we are happy to say Karen continues to volunteer. Karen works in the kindergarten classrooms and serves as a RISE volunteer. She has a wonderful relationship with our students and staff. 

     

    Dr. Lisa Donmoyer stated, "Our volunteers improve the school experience for Chapel children and we can't thank them enough for their time, dedication and committment to our community!"

    The St. John's Foundation and the Talbot Arts Council Present a Check to Dr. Karen Salmon


    The St.John's Foundation (Vernon Nily), and the Talbot Arts Council (Gerry Early and Busy Graham) presented a check to Dr. Salmon and the Board of Education. The donation covers all transportation costs for field trips to the Avalon Theater and offers Talbot County Public School students exposure to fantastic arts programming.

    EHS Hockey Team Congratulated on Winning the 2012 Delmarva Cup

     

    EHS ice hockey team members, coaches and parents received applause and congratulations for winning the 2012 Delamarva Cup!

    EMS 6th Grade Team Wins State Stock Market Game

     

    Dr Salmon and the Board congratulated Easton Middle School 6th grade Stock Market Game Team, Brittany Nelson, Hunter Moore and Elmer Martinez.

    They placed first out of 518 other middle school teams throughout the state.

    The students will be recognized at the MD General Assembly in Annapolis on February 15, 2012.
