Food Service

TCPS is a fully certified Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 school system. A reauthorization of the Child Nutrition Act, HHFKA provides funding for federal school meal and child nutrition programs, increases access to healthy food, and promotes overall student wellness. TCPS successfully passed a week-long audit by State and Federal compliance teams in randomly selected schools. In order to become certified, TCPS increased its offerings of whole grain options, fresh fruits and vegetables, and low fat daily choice.
