Senator Chris Van Hollen Tours TCPS Career and Technology Education Programs
Senator Chris Van Hollen toured TCPS Career and Technology Education programs on October 10th at Easton High and Easton Middle with Superintendent Kelly Griffith, Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Helga Einhorn. Van Hollen spoke with teachers and students in Biomedical Science, Computer Science, Auto Tech, and Culinary Arts classrooms at Easton High. The Middle School tour included Project Lead the Way classes: Innovators and Makers and Flight and Space.
Superintendent Kelly Griffith stated, “We are proud to show Senator Van Hollen the valuable Career and Technology courses we offer at the high school level and the feeder STEM courses we have added to the middle school curriculum. TCPS had 43% of the class of 2017 complete at least one CTE program and we anticipate continued growth in these programs.”
