TES Announcements

Principal's Message

We are pleased to report that TES has now joined all of the other elementary schools participating in the Talbot County CarePacks. Many donors and community partners have joined forces to launch the program. It is fact that many families struggle to make ends meet due to the economy, illnesses, and other crisis situations. The goal of the CarePacks is to help provide food on weekends and/or extended school breaks. It is wonderful that we have caring individuals that want to help children even on the weekends! Please contact the school if you would like to know more about this program and/or have questions concerning the program.

On March 22nd, St. Michaels and TES sixth grade students joined together at TES for one of the transition events to middle school. All students teamed up to work as “new teams” in four different stations, as well as have some playtime outside. Thank you to the counselors and teachers as they worked together to make this event a successful one for all of the Bay Hundred sixth grade students.

Congratulations to 31 TES students for completing the “Hit the Books” program sponsored by the Delmarva Shorebirds. Each of the students will be receiving 2 free tickets to the game at Arthur Perdue Stadium on Saturday, April 6th. Enjoy the game!! ☺

Dr. Lillian Lowery, State Superintendent of Schools, has approved the two-day waiver request submitted by Dr. Karen Salmon and the Board of Education. The two-day waiver was requested due to the State of Emergency that was declared by Governor O’Malley on October 29th and 30th related to Hurricane Sandy. Therefore, the last day for students will be Monday, June 10th, which will be a half-day for students. The last day for teachers will be June 13th.
