DUAL ENROLLMENT POLICY
- The Board of Education believes that the essential skills for both college readiness and career readiness include competencies in critical thinking, communication, creativity and collaboration. A student is college and career ready when he or she can obtain an entry level position and succeed in a skilled field of employment, or has received the training needed for success in a post secondary program such as college, trade school or the military. Further, to ensure college and career readiness for all students, Talbot County Public Schools shall provide opportunities for all students to be dually enrolled in high school and a post secondary institution while attending high school.
- The Superintendent is directed to establish administrative regulations that provide opportunities for students to take college courses while enrolled in high school, and that meet the expectations that are defined in the College and Career Readiness and College Completion Act of 2013.
