New Safety Screening at Fall Athletic Events

Talbot County Public Schools will pilot a weapons detection screening system at all varsity football games at Easton High School and all varsity soccer games at St. Michaels Middle High School, beginning with the home games scheduled for Friday, September 4.

As part of this enhanced safety measure, all spectators (including TCPS staff) will be subject to security screening prior to entering the venue. If additional screening is needed, a handheld security wand may also be used. Student spectators are not permitted to bring backpacks, book bags, or other large bags into the venue. Bags carried by adult spectators are permitted but are subject to security screening and inspection.

Easton High School students have an exciting opportunity to participate in the ACE Mentor Program of Maryland’s Eastern Shore!

Through ACE, students can:
✨ Explore careers in architecture, construction & engineering
🏢 Visit real construction sites
🛠️ Participate in hands-on workshops
📋 Learn about project scheduling and costs
🤝 Work together on a team project
🎓 Have opportunities to earn scholarships!

The new Easton Community School Bus will be visiting an Easton neighborhood near you on Monday, August 17th between 5pm and 7pm. Come meet the school administrators from EHS, EMS, and EES and celebrate the beginning of the school year! These are approximate times for our brief stops.
